The Legislative Committee that is in charge of deciphering the MMM Act of '08, are holding a public hearing on Feb 23, 2012 (one week from this coming Thursday). We have requested Time for presentation and direct communication with legislation. We have prepared a multitude of recent statistics that plainly show the Positive Social, Criminal, and Economic trends that go hand in hand with the passage of Medical Cannabis Laws throughout the United States, and more specifically, right here at home in Michigan. But lets take the rose colored glasses off and look at this with a clear vision. Until Legislation can put a face to the suffering, Until they can see Who is actually being victimized by the purposed changes and archaic way the Act has been Implemented by the State, it is likely they will not do what is right. 29歳、女性です。

昨年末に風邪をひいてから
微熱（36.8〜37.5）と咳が続いています。

年明けから頭痛もでるようになり、
咳に痰が絡むこともあります。
微熱と咳が続いていた為、
内科を受診し、血液検査とレントゲン検査をした結果は
特に問題ありませんでした。

ロードレーサーは普段からかなりストイックな生活を強いられます。

例えば、ツール・ド・フランスの最終パリステージで選手らがチームスタッフと乾杯するシーンがありますが、

口を付けるだけでほとんど飲むことはなかったりします。
（こんな感じで口をつけるだけ・・・）

なかにはアルコールが好きな選手もいるようですが・・・。

このように普段から節制し、常に気持ちは自転車に注がれています。

食事は選手にとってはトレーニングの一つ。

レース中もカロリーを補給しながらゴールを目指します。

ここでは自転車のための食事をご紹介します。

が、おそらくどのスポーツにも通ずるはずですから参考にしてみてくださいね。

ただし、僕は栄養士じゃないし、 あくまで参考です。

実際には個人差もありますし、自分にあった方法で実践して下さいね。

◎必要な栄養素

１．たんぱく質
　　体の組織を作り、維持します。

２．ビタミン
　　化学反応を生じさせて体の組織維持を助けます。

　　特にビタミンＢ、Ｃはストレスへの抵抗力を付けてくれます。

３．ミネラル

　　カルシウム・・・歯、骨を構成するほか、疲労を遅らせます。

　　鉄分・・・・・・・・酸素を運びます。

　　ナトリウム・・・水分バランスを整えます。

　　リン・・・・・・・・新陳代謝を助けます。

４．炭水化物

　　運動中に要求される熱とエネルギーを供給。

下肢静脈瘤の治療法

肢静脈瘤の治療法には現在様々な方法があります。外科的治療ではない日常生活上の注意や弾性ストッキングなどの圧迫療法は、｢静脈瘤｣そのものの改善を期待できるものではないものの、症状の増悪や合併症の予防に大切です。

もっとも大事なことは下肢がうっ血を起こさないようにする生活や、うっ血させてしまった状態を速やかに解除させる生活です。

Melanoma　黒色腫

　メラノーマは皮膚のメラニン細胞やメラニン芽細胞から派生することがあり、良性であったり悪性であったりする。これらの腫瘍は、アラブやペルシュロン種の高齢馬に最もよく認められる。メラノーマの発達と芦毛の毛色の関係は広く認められている。メラノーマは、もっぱら芦毛馬や、年とともに斑に白くなる馬に起こるように思われる。１５歳以上の芦毛馬の８０％以上はメラノーマを持っていると考えられている。

　病変部は単発だったり複数だったりし、会陰部や尾の腹側表面に最もよく発生する。腫瘍は普通硬く、結節性で、毛に覆われておらず、自潰することもある。ほとんどいつも黒い。白斑が病変の発達に先立つこともある。３つの発育パターンが報告されている。①ゆっくり成長し、転移もしない。②ゆっくり成長し、突然転移する。③成長が早く、最初から悪性。

　診断は臨床症状に基づいて行われる。病変が外見上異様でない限り、診断を確かめるために生検はたいてい必要ない。

　メラノーマが機能障害を起こさない限り治療は必要ない。８時間ごと２．５mg/kgのシメチジン（タガメット）が、ある程度の、あるいは完全なメラノーマの退行を引き起こしたことが報告されている。メラノーマの数と大きさは３ヶ月間治療した馬の５０％から９０％で減少した。腫瘍が退行したら、毎日の維持治療として１日１回１．６mg/kgが推奨されている。

「ダイエット」。
それは、女性はもちろんのこと、男性にとっても、永遠のテーマです。

「昔は、食事を減らせばすぐに体重が落ちたのに、最近ちっとも痩せない。」

このように太りやすく痩せにくくなるのは、いわゆる「老化」や、間違った自己流のカロリー制限ダイエットを繰り返すことにより、「代謝が低下」がしたこと原因です。

ましてや、自己流ダイエットで食べたいものを極端に我慢した反動で、食べることが止まらなくなり、もっと太ってしまった！なんて目も当てられません。

間違ったカロリー制限のダイエットでは、老化を進ませ、そして代謝を著しく低下させてしまいます。

食べたいものを自由に食べても、らくらく体型を維持できるような「リバウンドしないダイエット」には、「代謝を上げる＝若返る」ことが必要ですが、自己流ダイエットでは不可能です。

【追記情報（2011年9月29日）】
2011年9月16日シタグリプチンはインスリンとの併用療法の効能が追加された。インスリン療法は、単独療法においても低血糖のリスクが高いため、シタグリプチンを併用する場合にも低血糖リスクに注意し、必要に応じてインスリン製剤の用量調整を考慮すること。また、インスリンにSU薬などが併用されている場合には、下記Recommendationに従い、SU薬を推奨用量まで減量の上、シタグリプチンを追加すること。

2011年9月15日発売のリナグリプチン（トラゼンタ）、2011年9月20日発売のアログリプチン/ピオグリタゾン配合錠（リオベル配合錠）はSU薬との併用は適応となっていないが、下記の点を十分考慮して使用する。

【追記情報（2011年2月23日）】
GLP-1受容体作動薬に分類されるエキセナチド（2010年12月17日発売「バイエッタ」）はインスリンの代替とはならないため、インスリン治療中の患者では、患者がインスリン依存状態にあるか、非依存状態にあるかについて評価を行ったうえで本剤使用の可否を判断する（インスリン依存状態にある患者では本剤への切り替えは行われるべきではない）。
なおインスリン依存状態にあるか、非依存状態の鑑別はリラグルチドと同様である。

まえがき
痛みを単に一過性の症状だけにとらわれ患者も治療家もその一瞬の評価だけに重要性を見出そうとしているのが現状です。
痛みの生理的なメカニズムは大切ですが、そのメカニズムがなぜ稼動してしまうのか？その痛みがどうして出る必要があるのか？を科学的に捉えることが重要なことだと思います。すなわち、痛み（しびれ、だるさ、ｅｔｃ）これら全ての症状が身体のアラーム機構の中での大きな役割を果している訳で、身体を維持する最高の防衛システムなのです。
真の治療は、そのアラームに対してどうアプローチするかが重要であり症状を追いかける事は、さほど問題にはならないのです。
背骨に対する的確なアプローチは、その神経・血管・脳脊髄液・リンパなどのシステムの正常化をはかる事で人の持つイネートインテリジェンス（自然治癒力）を高め、より効果の高いアプローチになります。

背骨

後頭骨、頚椎（7）、胸椎（12）、腰椎（5）、仙骨と5つのセグメントからなります。
これらは、上位から下位までファセットと呼ばれる椎間関節で連結、脊柱管と呼ばれる脊髄を通すパイプを形成しています。

男性の場合、約９５％が睾丸（精巣）の中で、残る５％が副腎で合成され、分泌されていると言われています。

テストステロンの原料はコレステロールで、体内で複雑なプロセスを経てテストステロンに生合成されています。

テストステロンの分泌量は、脳からの命令でコントロールされています。

血中に分泌されたテストステロンは１１〜９０分で約半分になり、少量はエストロゲン（女性ホルモン）に換わりますが、大部分は肝臓で代謝されて、尿中に放出されます。健康な男性にも、少量ながら女性ホルモンが分泌されているのです。

What It Takes to Become A Master

Ever heard of the name Anders Ericsson?  Perhaps not, but i'm guessing you heard of the name Malcolm Gladwell, author of the bestselling books Blink and Outliers.  Gladwell in his last book Outliers was trying to figure out what separates highly successful people from the rest in any field.  In it, he discussed the 10k hour rule, which was actually from the research of Anders Ericsson at Florida State University.

Anders conducted a critical research project whereby he found it normally takes 10,000 hours of practice at a skill to become an expert in any discipline.  During this time, your central nervous system will string together new circuits and connections that eventually give you the tools and abilities to execute your skill with mastery.  Ironically, he also found it was done without a conscious consideration of the action – the athlete or performer was just doing.

What he discovered in his research was a Zen-like intense concentration, whereby the experts completely focused on the activity.  It was in these moments that the experts in their field were achieving peak performance by entering a state called 'the flow', originally characterized by Csikszentmihalyi in the 1970′s.

I know, many of you are saying, '10,000 hours would take me years, perhaps a decade to get to that'.  In response to that, I have a few questions;

Why did she choose water? Partly because the nuns in her monasteries were 80 percent illiterate and she wanted to make sure they would understand what she was saying. Today we would consider Teresa's own education very deficient, but in her time it was relatively advanced for a woman. Describing spiritual experience in terms of water to her nuns assured her they would readily grasp the teaching. Teresa so favored the example of water that she also used it when recording her personal prayer development for well-educated clergy in the earlier Book of Her Life.

Turning her pages, you see how she wants to approach her readers just where they are. She invites them to nod in agreement as she lays the foundation for her presentation based on their encounters with water. The busy Carmelite writes rapidly, not bothering to pause for capitals or periods. Her spiritual instructions, in the form we now have them, required male editors with more grammatical expertise than she possessed. They inserted the punctuation.

On Aug. 18, Pakistan's most powerful man, Army chief Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, secretly flew to Kurram agency in the country's Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and declared it free of "miscreants."

No doubt the Pakistani Army did a great job clearing militants from Central Kurram, the focus of the operation, as it did in areas like the Swat Valley. But Kayani's visit and announcement raise the following question: What do "clear" and "miscreants" mean for a Pakistani Army fighting to regain control of the area from a discreet force that can shift, hit, kill, and target anywhere, any place, and any time? And if the area had been successfully cleared, why did Kayani not travel by road, and why did he not meet the open jirgas of tribal elders in that area, as was the tradition when top Pakistani officials visited the tribal belt before 2001?

Indeed, it would have been great fun if Kayani had taken the governor of Khyber-Puktunkhwa province (the federal government figure who is actually in charge of administering the FATA) along with him, traveling by road to the "cleared" area so that the youth of Kurram could welcome them with the beating of drums and traditional dance, attan, instead of welcoming Kayani's visit from afar while begging him to finish the job and lift the siege on Kurram's main city, Parachinar. Only then would the people of Kurram come to believe that their area had truly been secured.

A funny thing happened on the way to writing a follow up post to Pop Quiz: grading necklines -and as it has come up before, I thought to dispense with it for once and all time. Namely, what do we mean when we say we have a 1 or 2 inch grade (or however much)? This is not so easily summarized because it seems ambiguous if one doesn't understand the underlying references. I'll try to explain the primary tenets of grades which are:

1. A grade describes sizing changes for the major fitting attribute only.
2. Application of the grade is proportionate.
3. Grading is a logarithmic scale. Or should be.

Defines major fitting attribute: Generally, when we say something has a 1″ grade, we mean that the major or defining attribute of the garment will grow or shrink that amount. If the item is a blouse, it is understood that the bust measure will grow or shrink 1″. If the item is a pant, it is understood that either waist or hip is the primary fitting attribute. It is also possible they both are, it depends on the company.
